My very first hustings tonight, and a very full event it was too! In all, 9 of the 11 candidates in Camberwell and Peckham attended. I was representing UKIP and sitting between Harriet Harman - the Labour Party candidate and Rebecca Fox of the National Health Action Party. Other parties in attendance were the Conservatives, the LibDems, the Green Party, Left Unity, the Workers' Revolutionary Party and the All Peoples' Party. About 50 people from the local ward turned up for the event - a lot more than expected so the room was packed out. It was a lively debate, and I was heckled by supporters of the Workers' Revolutionary Party at one point, although their opinions did not stand up to scrutiny.
